A car I can understand cause the US cars have stank for a long time, but would someone buy a Toyota truck when they can get a Ford or Chevy, ie a real truck? Burns my ass Toyota is building a truck plant down South somewhere.

what's wrong with a titan/armada/pathfinder/sequoia/4runner/rav4/tundra/tacoma? it's a damn decent truck and gets great reviews(titan won truck of the year from Car& Driver or something.)

US engines die fast? that's just stupid. most US engines actually do pretty well.

if you want to bitch about stitching, upholstry etc, then ok, the japs do it a little better than the americans, but the V8 is still the realm of the US and no, they do not die fast.

ford/chevy trucks tend to be more powerful for the same price. granted they have V8 or 10's - which is why you get a diesel instead of a gasoline engine :D

I wouldn't mind owning a Tundra. I would agree that the truck market isn't as skewed away from Ford/GM. I guess I would say for a car, I wouldn't consider a ford or GM product. For a truck, i'd consider them along with some others. I don't LIKE that it is like this, but sadly it's the reality.

Do you consider the Nissan Titan a "foreign truck? It is built about 2 hours north of here.

An education is not overrated.

Dodge/Ford have proven truck lines, they have been developing them for years and many i know of have surpassed the 150K mile mark no problem. Tundra/Titan, other foreign FULL size trucks, however i have yet to see to be proven because they are so new. I wouldn't buy them just for that reason. Wait 5 years and if i still see some of this years line on the road i might consider getting a nissan or toyota but until then sticking with my Dodge :D

Come on dude, you should know better than to post something like this on a forum full of Fanbois. It's just not worth it.

Who honestly cares? "Because it's American, you should buy it." That's just an excuse to buy a lower quality, higher priced, crappy vehicle, and you're trrying to make ohter people do it because you made that mistake. Go buy what you like. If a Celica or the '05 Eclipse is what you like, go buy it. If you like the F-150 go buy it. Just stop whining when you do buy it, and a different company comes out with something better. Just because it isn't American, doesn't make it evil.

Only truck I ever owned was a Toyota Tundra. Built right here in the USA! I looked at a Ford F150 but quite honestly the Tundra is a much better truck and I actually got a better deal on the Tundra than the dolts at the Ford dealer were willing to give me.

Have you ever driven a Tundra? Or a Nissan Titan?
