I have the MSI 865PE NEO2-LS and am running a 2.4c and Kingston HyperX PC3500 ram.
I decided to try some overclocking.
I first tweaked my memory by setting the "Performance setting" to "Ultra Turbo" and set my timings to 2-2-2-5. Everything ran great and I got 16,440 on 3Dmark2001se.
I then decided to raise the FSB to see how high I could go.
I left the memory timings as they were and begin to raise the FSB thinking my 3Dmark2001se scores would go up each time I raised the FSB.
However, the "opposite" happened.
I raised it in 5mz increments and even when I got as far as 230FSB my 3Dmark score was only 15,990 !
Why would raising my FSB, hence raising the speed of my CPU, make the 3Dmark scores GO DOWN??
I tried it at 1:1 and 3:2 and got the same results.
