Why would my temp go up?

It's odd...in the last couple days, my motherboard temperature (according to the on-board sensor) has gone form 27-28C to 31-32C. Not a huge increase, but odd. Nothing has changed in the system, all 4 case fans are working fine, and the processor is the same temperature. What would cause this rise in temperature?

Right . . . it all starts with ambient room temperature. You might also check for dust accumulation. That can also cause a rise in temp. It can build up in fans and slow them down.

No...the ambient room temp is the same as it always is...right around 70-71 degrees F. Also, the computer's less than a month old, so I doubt dust has had a chance to build up. It's confusing!

edit: n/m reread your original post.

Anyway, what video card are you running? Have you changed any settings on that?

Are there are other changes in software mabye? Running anything new that keeps your HD working all the time??

My system is in the link in my sig. I have a GeForce 3 ti 200 OCed to 210/470, but it always stays at that speed. (my rig description says 233/520, but that's the max it runs stably...I don't run it at that speed unless I really need the power...which is never right now.) No OCing on the processor. Anyway, it's not really a big deal, since it's only about 2 degrees, but I was just curious.
