Why would looking at a directory crash my computer?

I used Showshifter to capture some small video clips... However, when i look at the directory they are contained in, in windows explorer, Explorer crashes.

Tried restarting, no luck.

Windows likes to do a preview of video/image files. Most likely a bad codec when trying to look at the video within the windows explorer process.

Open a DIFFERENT folder in windows explorer, then under Tools->Folder Options, tell it to "Use Windows Classic Folders" instead of "Enable Web content in Folders" to disable this preview.
