Why Would I Have A Windows 95 Companion CD?

I bought a new Compaq Laptop computer that came loaded with Windows 98 Second Edition. I also got 2 cds with it. One is a Windows 95 Companion Cd. The other is a Windows 98 Second Edition Upgrade. What is the Windows 95 Companion Cd for and when would I need to use that?
 
You don't need the companion CD. It's full of silly demos that you would never touch, and a sort of on-line CBT for how to use Windows.
