Why Would I Have A Windows 95 Companion CD?

I just purchased a new Compaq laptop computer that came loaded with Windows 98 Second Edition. With this laptop I got 2 cd's. One is a Windows 95 Companion cd that says For Distribution Only with a New PC. The other cd says Windows 98 Second Edition Upgrade. What is this Companion cd for and when would I ever use it?

if you got a win98se upgrade and not a full oem cd, you might need the win95 cd if you ever reinstall windows (win98 setup would ask you for proof that you can use an upgrade cd). see what the 95 cd has on it. if it's cab files and whatnot, that's probably what it is.
