Carlos, I agree. But he only trolls the CPU forum. In ATOT, he respects the rules. Nothing we can do about it, unless his behaviour (sp?) would really get out of control.

Likewise... The biggest troll out there. I have tried many times to get him banned.

Been there, done that

The point is. Not all of us are fanboys. Just because intel made something faster doesnt mean we should all run over and grab it. Im building a new AM2 PC in december hopefully even though i know conroe is alittle faster then what im building. The point is. Conroe costs more. Conroe mobos cost too much, conroe CPUs cost too much. Its retarded IMO.

I would rather go with the guys who come out with a socket and if the CPU fits in the socket then it will work with your mobo. Not the guys that have 500 different chipsets for one socket so they can sell more. Greedy mofos like that dont get my money.

ATI and AMD get my money. Thats just the way it is until AMD starts getting as greedy as intel.

Your hyperlink is broken. Also, if you shop at Newegg, you can save a pretty penny. You can get an ECS mobo + e6300 combo for under $200 here in the states. Perhaps for you Advanced Micro is your only option. :( Or maybe you can convince FRYS to expand into Canada where said combo is available:

And why are you making it sound like buying anything AMD produced is a bad thing, hence you feeling sorry for him?

wow, a link to an agp motherboard...

if that's not dumb I don't know what is. Who wants a state of the art cpu with a graphics card that can't keep up? I for one would never purchase a motherboard with an agp port in the now, unless I had a rediculously nice videocard that I just could not let go of (get real)

*this is not meant to 'dis' on anyone who upgraded to a board such as the dualsata2 which is actually wise considering it has both agp and pci-e*

what's your next recommendation? a twin turbocharged 700hp v8 car that's front wheel drive?

I got a Athlon 64 3400+ Venice along with a free motherboard that fits my WoW gaming needs for about $110 (Paid seperate for the heatsink). It was a tremendous upgrade over my Sempron 2400+ once I had the two boards switched. Couldn't of upgraded to a conroe system for that price. I would have paid at least twice that for the CPU, I certainly would not have gotton a free motherboard and I would have had to pony up for DDR2 ram. Sorry, but my DDR400 speed ram suits me just fine for now.

When I upgrade next year (most likely) I will look at all these same factors again and base my purchases on that; whether it be AMD or Intel I really don't care, though I will probably avoid Asus next time.

My first love was Ep0x, then DFI, now its all about MSI.

I always buy the gold or platinum winner when Anandtech does a mobo roundup. Theyve never steered me wrong.

Hmm, interesting, I will keep that in mind when it is time to upgrade. Thanks for the tip!
