Why Won't XP recognize my monitor?

I bought the Viewsonic E90fb monitor and it says on the box it is supported by XP, I tried it on my old comp with ME and it detected it from the start. When I try with XP it just says plug and play monitor, I'm thinking I should go and look for the drivers (pain in the ___)
