Why won't XP home keep my preferred networks???????

Hello all,

I'm about to blow up and go berserk working on this problem.

For my brother's birthday the family got him a new Dell laptop. I decided that as my present to him I'd get him a WLAN card (3Com AirConnect). I got everything set up and working fine about 2 weeks ago. It has been sitting around at home doing fine ever since. There is also a wireless network at my mom's house, where I have also had it working before. Today I decided to take it over to mom's house and hide it there since my brother will be coming home to my dad's house tomorrow.

I got over there and naturally wanted to use the wireless network. It simply wouldn't work. After a little bit of trouble shooting I found that it had lost all the settings in my preferred networks. I need these settings since both networks use WEP. Every time I reenter the information it will connect. After closing the window and going back to it, however, all the information is gone and it has lost the connection. Can anyone tell me why this is happening and how to fix it?

Disclaimer: If this post seems familiar it's because it is also in the networking forum, but not getting any replies.

Thanks,
Swan

EDIT: Problem solved. I just had to do the exact same thing about 10 times over!!!
