Hey guys and gals, Win2K network, I'm trying to set a group policy on a test OU.
In this group policy I'm trying to set up "Folder Redirection" for the "My Documents" folder. I'd like users' My Doc's folder to be redirected to a '\\server\Documents\' shared folder; so that's what I put in the "Root Path" textbox.
[Note: I put in '%username%' into the above path, but it errored out - if I leave it out the example shows it working as I need]
But it doesn't work. If I change something easily checkable, like making the "Advanced" tab disappear from Internet Explorer options, that shows up immediately upon a logoff and logon. I don't have anything set up (that I can find anyway) in a domain policy, nor do I have anything set up in the users' profile directing it someplace else.
Any ideas?
Steve
EDIT: I could have sworn (and as a matter of fact, I swore lots) that I had set the share permissions twice... alas, evidently I didn't. I wonder if I was hitting the 'cancel' button instead. Thanks anyways.
