Why won't this duron o/c right?

I am building a computer for a friend, It has a kt7-raid, with Duron 600, unlocked. Now, my problem is for some reason, i cant get it to post at 100fsbx7.0. But I can set the multiplier to 6.5, and the fsb to 108, and still get 700Mghz. I thought it was supposed to be the other way around??? Any ideas?, Thanks

Was the chip originally unlocked? If not, then i suggest a repencilling job.

well, I did the L1's myself, but, i thought that it was either locked, or unlocked, no in between?? Thanks.

yeah try repenciling...I did and the repenciling helped...

that means that your CPU's are able to go higher, but you didn't pencil it right. It takes a couple of tries to get it right.

I had to re-pencil mine 6 times. Now my Duron 600 runs at 900MHz.

Yep, like everyone else posted, just repencil your L1 bridges.. or instead of using your pencil, go get some defogger paint or conductive pen.
