Why won't this avi play???

Ok, so I downloaded a video file that is 700MB. For some reason it plays the first few seconds of video and then the video freezes and it only plays audio. No matter what I do it won't play the video. If I skip ahead it the audio skips ahead but still, no video. I have Divx Pro 5.0.2. and everything and all other videos work. How can I get this to play? It's 700MB so the video has to be there. Is there anything that can repair this file?

maybe you don't have the correct codec?

run Gspot and see what exactly your AVI is.
