Why won't Steam remember favorite servers?

Ugh. I am so sick of losing my favorite servers.

It 'forgets' my server history all the time too so its not like i can just look it up :|

OK what you do is start game.
>Find servers>Favourites>Change filters
Then select Secure Only.
Then close the game.
Now open the game again, and you will see them.

Steam sucks.
Is there ANY way to stop them from trying to sell their other games (as in, STEAM doesn't open in the Steam Store, and no messages for new games?)

2 easy steps

1)Exit from Steam first, then go delete either:

C:\Program Files\Steam\config\serverbrowser.vdf
or
C:\Valve\Steam\config\serverbrowser.vdf


2) open CS add in server to Favorites

i had this problem only ingame. When you're just running steam alone w/o any games running, click on "servers." They will be there.
