Why won't Quake III arena work on my laptop!?!?!?!??

It works, but it's really choppy... wicked slow... I'm using win2k as my OS and I have an HP Pavillion N5310. It's not a slow machine, unless you consider 750 mhz slow. I think it has a combination of the OS and the Drivers for my videocard. Please help me if at all possible.

did u get the Rage mobility or Nvidia GO chipset for vid card?

I think it's a Savage/IX Display Driver... according to my control panel. I have no clue what the chipset is...

it's all in the video card.. games suck on all but the geforce2go and radeons

To restate the obvious, Savage IS suck
Try lowering the resolution and lowering all the details and stuff
