Why won't my PC overclock anymore?

I've got an AMD Athlon clocked at 1050mhz with the FSB at 100mhz. When I bought it and multiple times before now I have been able to change my FSB and DRAM timmines to 133mhz and it worked perfectly, for over 1 year. Now i've reformatted again and whenever I up both to 133mhz I get an error message before windows loads that says there was a problem with CONFIGMG or something. If I just turn my DRAM timmins up to 133mhz this happens to, and there is no option to only but my FSB bus up. When it is at 133 i get 1400mhz which I really want. thanks.

I've got an ECS K7S5A and an AMD Athlon at 1050mhz or 1400mhz as it was advertised. (Don't know the number like 1400+ or anything)

You said you have been using it for over a year. When was the last time you cleaned out your computer real well? Heat caused by dust can really destroy OCing potential. It could also be that your power supply is getting a little weaker (maybe also caused by dust).

I had this happen with one particular heatsink. It would get loads of dust clogging the space between the fins. It was very hard to get out. It would not blow out. I used a stiff brush that could get down in the fins.

The exhaust fans sometimes get amazingly clogged if the air goes through holes rather than a wire fan protector.
