I have a Intel P4 1.6 400FSB, I used to have a Asus board based on the i850 w/rdram but that died on me so i relpaced it with a Abit ai-7 w/ 512mb pc3200 mushkin ram, and now in the bios when i crank the fsb to 133 like i used to on the asus board it just hangs the system right there in the bios....i have latest bios rev

I know that this processor is cabable of 2.1Ghz bc its been doing it for ~3 yrs

The board may compatability issues with the ram...that would be a newly added component as well, right??? What divider, timings, ram, are you using???

is your 1.6 a northwood or a williamette, if it's a williamette the new motherboard may not support it. And like duvie said, the new motherboard may have some compatiblity issues with the ram.

its a Northwood P4 and the RAM timings are 2.5-3-3-8 as indicated in windows, imo the ram shouldnt be a problem because it is PC3200 and running at a 133FSB would only push it to PC2700...
