Why won't my Handspring Visor and PC synch?

Just got a Visor Deluxe the other day off FS/FT forum and now the thing won't synch with my computer. I start the Palm Desktop software and then click the little button on the Visor craddle. It looks like it's synching with the computer and I don't get any error messages. When I look at the To Do List (where there's a bunch on the Visor) there's nothing on the Palm Desktop.

How can I fix it?

You might need to update the Palm Desktop software, I dunno. What version do you have and what Windows are you running? I've got a Visor Deluxe and Palm Desktop 4.0.1 running on Windows2000 flawlessly.

WinXp with Palm Desktop v4.0.1

I think Outlook is messing everything up now that I look around at thinks. I bought this used so the other user is currently setup on the handheld.

do a full memory purge on the visor (I think you hold "up" while pressing reset)

Why don't you have it sync with Outlook instead of Palm Desktop too?

Yeah, that was my problem. I had it synching with Outlook (which I never use) instead of Palm Desktop. So everytime it synched, everything would go to Outlook instead of Palm Desktop.

I just reinstalled everything and set it up to synch with palm desktop and now it's working great.

Wish I could get my Magellan GPS to work though :| I keep getting a fatal error everything I try to start it :|
