Why won't my CPU o/c even after I connected the L1 Bridges?

I used a conductive trace repair pen to connect the L1 bridges on my AMD XP 1600+ and Epox 8KHA+ mobo.

My clock multiplier won't go any higher than 11x (10.5x is the default for 1600+), so it reads it as a 1700+. But, my processor won't go any higher even if i set my multiplier to 12x or 13x, etc.

I have already checked all the other bridges, and they're clean- i didn't accidentally connnect the other bridges.

I've already tried cleaning the bridges and re-connecting the L1's, and it still doesn't work. Any idea?

I'm not familiar with that mobo, but I had the same problem on a VIA KT133 chipset mobo, it was the limiting factor. After I got my KT400, no more "problem". But this was with a TBird, since you have an XP, your board is definatley "newer". Can/did you test the L1 connections with a meter? Did you fill in the gaps with super glue or such first? From what I've read, you can't just put on the epoxy.
