Why won't my computer recognize my new cpu?

I just upgraded my cpu from a 1 gig 200fsb, to a 1.33 266fsb, but my computer still shows only 1 gig, shouldn't it automaticly recognise it? or do I need to manually configure it? if so, what settings on the cpu clock multiplier, cpu frequency, dram frequency?

Front Side Bus (FSB) x CPU multiplier = CPU frequency

You want to adjust the clock speed in BIOS if your motherboard supports that, or read the manual and find the jumpers that set FSB. If you have one READ THE MANUAL it adequately explains how to set the jumper.
