I use a GFD and have set the multiplier to 8,5 and the vCore to 1,85.
I am using a GlobalWin VOS32 cooler.
FSB is at 100 MHz DDR...
If i change the MP to 9,0 my PC boots but upon entering Windows i get BSODs and other nasty errors
I don't know WHY!!!
i think that my CPU should easily be able to handle 900Mhz......

i tried everything imaginable
to no avail
the farthest i can go is 880Mhz but only if i set the FSB to 110 and the MP back to 8

PLEASE HELP ME

any advice would be highly appreciated

thx

The classic Athlons just don't overclock above 800 very reliably, sorry. If you want to go higher, you'll have to get a new motherboard and a Duron/Thunderbird. Some people can get the SlotA's to 900 or higher, but it's not a sure thing. The core was just too close to its limit already.

Of course, you wouldn't have this problem if you'd bought Intel in the first place... Haha, just kidding, I don't want to start that arguement all over again. :)

I believe that you may need to set your L2 cache speed down to 1/3. Which mobo are you using? 900 should be easy.
