I'm setting up my computer to be a server, and I have a Linksys 10/100 NIC card in the computer, but the installation program wont doesn't recognize it and skips the network configuration part. Is the NIC not supported by RedHat Linux 7.0?
I advise you to be on broadband to bring it up. It's big.
There's also a smaller, searchable database at this link. Good if you aren't on broadband.
Can't remember, but I believe there is also some Linux driver info on the Linksys site. It's down as I write this.
Have had problems with known, working, compatible NIC cards and Redhat before. Particularly cards using the tulip module. In one instance the card was running fine until I swapped video cards. That was a mess.
In another instance, I reseated the card and it came up. On a dual boot system with Win98. Win98 was recognizing it. Redhat wasn't.
I'm sure a couple of the more advanced gurus here can come up with some more help than I.
