Why wont IE save my forums password anymore?

When i had win98, i had my forums password saved, so i wouldn't need to manually log in all of the time. I have recently upgraded to win2k, and now i must input the forums password every time. Is this because i have some security setting that prevents this from happenening, or is it because i went back to IE 5.0 instead of 5.5(or whatever)?

I have no clue about this, but its gettin annouying because the password is impossible to remeber, as it isn't a word.

PS- can i change my forums password??

Thanks

1.)In Internet Explorer, on the Tools menu, click Internet Options.

2.)Click the Content tab.

3.)Under Personal information, click AutoComplete.

4.)Select the check boxes for the AutoComplete options you want to use.

You can change your password by clicking on the "profile" tab at the top of any forum page.
On your profile page enter your new password in the password field, and verify it in the field below it. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the "Update Profile" button, and you're done.
