I dl some songs from napster and converted them into wav. files, burnt them onto a cd, ez cd-creator said burn successful but neither my burner or toshiba 1212 will play the cd.It's like there's nothing on the cd when you go to play it in either drive, but you can see where it's burnt on the cd????
any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!

Ok i can now see the songs on the cd,I did'nt have the cd closed after burning the songs!!!but when it goes to play a song i get this error message:
This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action.Create an association in My Computer by clicking view and then checking folder options.
what program do i need??? and how do i go about putting the file extention in there???

Another update, i got the error message to go away, but know i notice all the song's have cda after the track # on the cd shouldn't that be a wav file??I converted them over to wav files before burning the!! I used ez cd creator???
thanks 🙂🙂

thanks

btw-,my burner is a hp 9001i and the reader a toshiba 1212 dvd drive

it sounds like you may not have created the cd properly with ez. I have the same drive and software, and you should have to close the session if you were making an audio cd, which leads me to think you tried to make a disc you could drag and drop to. I don't know for sure though, I wasn't there. 🙂

as for the .cda or .wav extension, if you are creating audio to be played in any cd player, the extension should be .cda, thats the format used. From what I understand it very close to wav files, but its basically the standard for all audio cds.

Warlord,
i checked the box for close cd after burning.I selected the wav. files one by one from the folder I had them in,i did'nt drag and drop them.

Ok,
I burnt another cd and it will play in my stereo but now neither my burnt cd's or any audio cd will have sound when i try to play it in my cd player on my system???My daughters games have sound though when i play one of her cd's.
any ideas???
thanks🙂

John,
I think I may have it figured out thanks to one of my friends. He said to be sure the sound cable is coming off the sound card to the cd-rom.I had it hooked up to my burner when i was having all the trouble with the dvd player a couple weeks ago and never hooked it back to the cd-rom.Hopefully that's it!!I'll check it in a little while and let ya's know. Thanks alot pal 🙂🙂

sup my friend!
man it should of worked in every cd player. i use Adaptex Ez cd creatoor 3.5c and its burn wav files great w/ my acer 2x2x6😛 it works on my car cdplayer and my aiwa deck tat is not even cdr reader compatible!!! it sounds like that ur cdrs are the problem. which cdrs u use? and btw if u burn on cdrw disc it wont work if u didnt know that already🙂 sony is the only cdrs that doesnt work great w/ cd player. PNY and imations are very good cdrs for recording audio. and yes u have to close the session to make the cdplayer play the song🙂
