Why won't an asus a7v333 boot scsi?

I recently purchased an a7v333 as a replacement for an 8kha+ in my system. All of the drives in this system are scsi. I cannot get my tekram DC-390 U3W scsi controller to boot with the mainboard. I have changed the boot sequence in the bios and removed all but the hard drive from the controller. The drive is formatted and boots with other motherboards. If I boot from a floppy the drive is available and accessible. My motherboard bios version is 1005. Any ideas?

Thanks!

I am having the exact same problem. I could boot fine with my DC-390U3D and an Asus A7V133, but after upgrading to the A7V333 I can no longer boot with the Tekram controller. Yes I have reformatted and reinstalled the OS with the Tekram card.

scalf: Are you able to boot off a Windows 2000 CD, and have it give you the option to start off your hard drive? I can boot off my hard drive if there is a bootable CD in the computer. I have updated the A7V333 BIOS to 1006 (final release 22-Apr-2002, running 1006 Beta 4 before that.) and this doesn't help. If I swap the Tekram card for an Adaptec 2940UW, I can boot the system off the hard drive directly. Bearing in mind I installed Windows 2000 using the Tekram card not the Adaptec...

I've tried to sign up at amdmb, but it's been several days, and they still haven't validated my account registration.

Anybody got any more thoughts on this issue? The Tekram technical support folks have given me really BASIC (think in the context of the animated "REBOOT" TV show.) assistance like, "Make sure your Cheetah X15 is plugged in to CN5." Asus has not responded to any of my emails.

Thanks in advance,

The Tekram folks are giving me some more meaningful suggestions. No resolution yet, but at least they are trying...
