Why with winamp does my music crackle and pop etc? any other media player it doesnt.......

This might help, at least it's worked for me. Right-click on the Winamp player (the main window with the timer),

go to Options...

then Preferences...

now under Plug-ins go to Output..

Now go to the Nullsoft waveOut plug-in and click on Configure

On the drop down bar there should be two options for your sound output. Your soundcard and WaveMapper. Choose your soundcard and press OK. Exit the menus and try playing the music. That's all I know, so I hope that works for you.

no go, still has a studder effect And this is only when im web page surfing etc

I think there's a known problem with winamp and ie web page scrolling ...

try updating your winamp ...

i think the problem was fixed a long time ago though ...

or maybe you could change the priority on the winamp setting that brin was talking about

doesnt happen anymore on the new p4 motherboard i got. I think it was the highpoint crab on my old abit mb
