Why was this Poker Chip Thread Locked?

They have been locking nearly every thread that deals with poker especially ones that involve real money games.

"Threads regarding real money poker are not permitted at AnandTech."

I made a thread here about this the other day.

I find it silly that they're locking these threads especially considering how long PartyPoker was an advertiser here.

You mean to tell me that the policies of the mods are independent of Anand and he has no control over it?

And you have to admit that it sends an extremely hypocritic signal to the users of this boards that we can play poker for money only if it makes AT money.

I'm not saying that's the case, but no one has answered otherwise.
