I cant see a reason, im pretty sure all the companies involved in making those games, publisher and developer are still around, unless i read wikipedia wrong. Why the hell wasent there any more sequals? Star trek games are usually garbage but these really stood out, elite force I was fantastic, II was pretty good too, i was astounded to find out it actually uses the same engine as the first one because even for 2007 the graphics look great!. Armada I and II were both great, i don't see a reason why there wasent a 3rd game made in either series, why not??

Elite Force 1 and 2 were actually very good ST games. Never played Armada though.

I think Activision, the publisher for both EF and Armada, lost the Star Trek license to Bethesda.

Was a huge fan of Elite Force myself... Very well done... I believe it was based on the Q3 engine. I just remember how they rendered 7 of 9 the most... LOL, she definately could pass as her.

It would be great to see a third installment. Raven is top notch when it comes to development and if I recall correctly, Raven is the only developer that 'id' trusts.

oh man..yea.. the Elite Force games were top notch Trek games. They somehow made Voyager palatable in the first EF game. The way they did the Borg stuff was great as well and the levels and music were pure trek. Very well done.

I would LOVE a new EF game but Star Trek is somewhat waning in popularity but with a new movie on the way maybe interest will spark and a new game is made. C'mon Raven, develop a new EF!! Make it so!

Armada was buggy as hell, as well as its sequel. Activision didn't care about the games and never really supported them. I'm glad they didn't tarnish Star Trek anymore than they already did. The only thing I hope for now and will buy is a star trek RTS with an updated homeworld engine.

I thought Star Trek Voyager Elite Force was a good game, played it all the way through. Didn't even know there was a 2

The last few Trek movies have been crap. First Contact was excellent, but they've been dropping down hill since. Nemesis was the worst ST movie ever made, I think ST5 was probably better.

Enterprise became a decent series in its 3rd season, and an excellent one in its 4th season, though the last episode was a slap in the face to every member of the ST:ENT cast.

There is a Source mods for Enterprise though, which looks interesting.

Edit - Link for the Enterprise mod Text

You're really missing out then.

Number 2 was great, better than the first.

Armada I is ok, but not enough for me to play past the demo.

Elite Force was pretty good, but just done "wrong". Star Trek shootouts have always been more tactical, and just don't conform to the Trek-verse as a "fake" shooter. If they made it tactical, one hit kills and stuff with only a few "realistic" weapons (i.e. phasers, phaser rifles, disruptors, no bug launchers ot whatever) then it would be amazing.

I thought armada and its sequel were extremely solid games. I was thinking that to myself the other day actually, its amazing that it still runs solid on vista x64, and its been through a number of different hardware configurations. Same applies to both elite forces.

How? I missed most of the entire enterprise thing, i saw an episode here and there, who knows what series those episodes were from... I had normal tv and not sky at the time so i missed a lot. Why was the last episode so bad? Was it like in deep space 9 where there was a setup for a massive battle and they went and made peace? What a crock of s**t.

Yeah try 2 out, its got amazing graphics as well for an older game. Plus the storys good for a shooter and it has nice weapons and some interesting enemies. I liked the first one a little better but not by much, it was just the voyager setting i liked better.

They both lacked the ability to go nuts and kill the entire crew aboard the ship, moving from deck to deck, raiding quarters and such, in the first one you drop to your knees crying after you kill some friendlys and in the second you cant shoot on board the enterprise :frown: There was a way to stop the crying thing from happening but it took some effort in finding it out, the forum people didn't want to tell me.

Only issue with EF 1 was that the characters would turn on you if they took any signigicant damage. Towards the end of the Dreadnought level, Mitch or Chang would randomly start to fire on me when they took repeated damage. They kept firing until I was dead. If I shot them, I'd die anyways. Lose - lose.

On the up-side, it did force me to be a little more creative :)

ST has always been more about peace than about making war. :p

Season 3 of Enterprise was a season long story arc where each episode built on the one before it, culminating in a Xindi attack on Earth with a super weapon. Season 4 was primarily composed of 2 and 3 part episodes delving into Vulcan culture, Andorian culture, and leading into the formation of the federation. It also contained what I consider to be one of the best trek episodes every produced, "Through a Mirror Darkly", the only Trek episode to take place entirely within the Mirror universe. It builds off the TOS episode "The Tholian Web" and gives all the characters the chance to be really evil. :p

The last episode of Enterprise was a story about Cmdr Shran, the Andorian, who helped Archer sporadically throughout the series. However, instead of the story featuring the cast of Enterprise, the episode was written as a holodeck program on the Enterprise D. Instead of Enterprise character acting, they were extremely flat, and the viewers got stuck with Counselor Troi and Commander Riker as the primary characters. Major disappointment, double so considering that the rest of the season was top notch.

I think this was fixed in one of the patches.

you know, i actually wish they'd make a new game similar to st: legacy (i played the 360 version).... but with a huge, huge persistent map, where you can warp around freely... explore... etc. legacy was cool, but i didn't like to mission-to-mission setup with 4 ships to command.

the game universe would encompass the entire federation, romulan, klingon territories. you'd navigate one ship only (upgradable of course with your command points ^^)... and various missions would take you around the galaxy... it would be a persistent universe (federation space could continuously change depending on your actions) from beginning to end (from Ent era to TNG). missions would be random + main plot line... maybe last couple of missions would involve joining in on a huge battle :D ... ah i miss star trek shows...

Like oblivion sort of. I would hate it if it were a paid for mmorpg, other people would totally ah heck up things, coupled with the fact i hate paying monthly for things.

The closest thing i can think of was starfleet command III, i bought that on a hunch, the box looked pretty, turned out to be pretty fun. A bit simple and basic by todays standards but there is a game mode where you can warp around the universe and do missions, but like i say its very basic and dosent hold attention for long. The multiplayer aspect was pretty fun, think the servers are closed down now though.

didn't get to play star fleet command 3 but did play the original. it was cool playing friends on LAN but didn't last too long.

and yeah, on the above idea for the new game, i was thinking of it as a single-player game and would hate it if it were MMORPG... i'm usually into single player games..

after playing st: legacy, i ended up re-watching, a couple of times each, all the star trek movies, heh :) i'm currently trying to finish up watching sea 3 & 4 of the enterprise... mmmmmmmmm
