Why was the riddle thread locked?

Why was the above mentioned thread locked? There were no flames or anything going on in there. it was getting a little long (7 pages?) but I've seen longer threads continue. I for one would like to see the outcome of this thread was a new one started in it's place or something?

No I think they would have gotten to it sooner if it was that. Plus that's not against the TOS as far as I know.

There is sort of a follow up thread which I only just now found. That's probably why. Sorry i made this thread I should have searched further for the followup. Although it's more of a "give us the answer or we lynch you" type thread than a followup lol
