I have, but I thought due to the nature of the topic it was fine in OT. :)

If it's On Topic, it's not Off Topic, is it?

If that's the case, why have any forums besides OT?

You'd expect to hear that from a user with 58 posts, not close to 5800...

It?s a simple difference of opinion. I thought it was fine in OT.

If it's On Topic (in other words, a tech topic on a tech messageboard), it needs to be posted in the appropriate forum (not Off Topic.) If it doesn't belong in any other forum, and isn't against forum rules, it belongs in Off Topic.

An opinion is a view point which can't really always be ascribed a true/false correct/incorrect status. In this case it was the wrong forum. Nicer if the thread was moved, but I imagine the Mods figured you should know better.

Go post it in Tech Support, that seems the proper place so I don't believe it will be locked again there.

I didn't create the thread. ;)

It doesn't matter, anyway. I just thought the thread should've stayed alive that's all. Maybe i should have just PM'd the mods.

A PM requesting a thread to be moved will usually be granted if the thread has not been locked at that time.

A Mod initiated lock vs a move depends subjectively on the Mod, thread and OP.
