It is shown that Sunner had the answer in the form of (emphasis added):

Maybe some of us have been around for long enough to not wanna leave the boards because a mod locks a thread for apparently no reason, and would prefer to get an explaination instead.

So where is the explanation as to why the original thread was locked? All Sunner's statement says is that some of us aren't going to run off just because of what we perceive to be IMPROPER MODERATION ("a mod locks a thread for apparently no reason") but instead, we want an EXPLANATION.

So how about it? It isn't unreasonable for members, especially LONG TERM COMMUNITY MEMBERS, to want to know what's going on INSIDE of the community. C'mon guys (or gals) who are Mods... make a public statement of some sort explaining the rationale so that people can understand what's going on. If the situation is that no one is allowed to discuss other BBS packages though, expect a hail storm of complaining... not because people want to cause trouble, but because Anand (aka THE BOSS) has always been so open and has always promoted openness and learning in the Community that HE started. If there's going to be a change in policy then it should be both PUBLIC and with HIS PUBLIC blessing.

Please repsond and don't just lock.... we are asking for something reasonable in a reasonable manner.

I don't believe any of the Moderators locked it. FYI we aren't the only ones with access to the Admin tools.

That said, it's obvious that who ever did lock it doesn't feel like explaining the reason so lets just leave it at that.
