there was some weird security issue at some point (like some post with a script that stole your password or something, I missed it by a few minutes) so they resetted them all.

This. I'm guessing yours was one of that 100 or so people whose credentials were compromised a couple of months ago due to a vulnerability in Bulletin. When it was discovered, the passwords of every one of those people were reset here as a precaution. Hopefully, you're not foolish enough to use the same password on important matters, because iirc, the passwords were posted on a hacking site in some other country.

NSA didn't care for how hard your password was to type in so they resetted it to something easier.
