why was my email ignored?

I changed my email address in my profile upon realising it was still set to my old ISP and invadvertantly put in the wrong address - meaning I had no way to retrieve the subsequent password change.

I emailed moderator@anandtech.com about this and received no reply.

Why?

I would prefer to have my old account back and this one (no real choice but to make a new one) be closed please.
