Why vidoes captured by G400 takes tons of room...

An average of 3.3 MB/second when set on best quality.

Does anyone know the next best video quality to convert to? Tried MPG2 but quality
sucked BIG TIME.

Also, it is possible to convert to MPG4 with only slight loss of video quality?

I guess there's no way around it, huh?

Thanks in advance.

It takes a lot of space because it captures in MJPEG format... personally
I don't like using the hardware codec and prefer to use a software codec
(Morgan MJPEG) It can capture at lower data rate but maintain good
quality... but if what you're after is the absolutely BEST quality, then there's
no way around it, it's going to eat up tons of space. 3.3MB/s is nothing
when you compare it to raw captures...

Whatever tool you use to convert to MPEG4 should have compression setting. Use less compression. Your file will be larger but quality a lot better and till smaller than MJPG.
