Why do some people have to be so fscking stupid?

I got to a party, I decide to bring my Gamecube so that my friends can play some Madden. I play it for awhile ( about an hour ) and i get some people's attention (Note: Room was upstairs, most people were down stairs)

Towards the end of the party, I leave the room checking on my friend who had way too much to drink ( first time drinking). He's outside kicking and screaming and acting up a strom while I'm trying to settle him down. Later some guy comes up to me and asked me if that was my gamecube because he said it was gone. Some fscker right now has my damn GCN, Madden 2002, mem card and controller.

UPDATE::
Through some hip investigating, my friends have found out who took my GCN. I'm going to confront him either today or tomorrow, but I'll keep ya posted.

Update2: As you know, I went over to his house last nite but no one was home. I filed the police report and had the sheriff hassle him a little.

Now, today, I get a call from my best friend saying that my GCN was in a bag in his driveway. At first i was "huh?" but I remembered that this guy went to high school with my friend's sister.

But that doesn't matter, I GOT MY CUBE BACK!!!

The f'er managed to scuff up the controller a little :|
and take off the sticker on my memory card, but other than that, it looks okay..

Thanks for everyone's support through all this!

That really sucks. Not to be mean, but you shouldn't have taken it to a party. :( I'm really sorry.

i agree with weeeplop and hzl_eyed_grl. it probably was not a good decision to bring it to a party

d00d that sucks.. sorry to hear what happened. Who was hosting the party? I woud have never thought you'd get something stolen at a friends place. I guess bringing anything to a party is like taking a bike to University. Lock it or its gone.

I had a bad feeling, but you realize this was basically a party with all my "friends." I thought i could trust people, but now obviously, that isn't the case.

Someone stole some guy's letterman jacket too. :(

amex actually has purchase protection that insures items purchased against theft or damage........if you went amex, you could be able to get something back

Are you sure someone stole it? It seems that way but maybe one of your friends took it for you since they thought you left or something... Did you ask anyone if they saw who took it either? You were outside during the time it got stolen right? So you would probably notice if someone was carrying a GC right by you... So maybe its still in the house....

I feel for you man, but you should of known better than to bring it to a party. Leaving it alone, without a bud watching it, was asking for trouble.

Sorry, I had to borrow it to do some research for my gaming B.S. degree from UCLA ;)
