Why to Disable NetBIOS over TCP/IP?

If you don't have a WINS server in place, the NetBIOS broadcasts can get pretty chatty.
 
if you want browsing to not work as well as network neighborhood, you disable netbios over TCP.

if you want a little more security, you disable it as well.
