now, as we saw with the end of the world thread today, people are running searches and finding nothing, and reposting tops that have been posted 6 billion times before.

let's look at a typical search using typical criteria for this. like in google, if you want to search something, you take out all the filler words. in this case, "of the". so you are left with searching "end world"

results

but if you include the full text, "end of the world",

results

so the searcher cant handle leaving out words, no matter how mundane those words are.

that's a problem.

B/C the non-full text search sucks. Zuni said it'll be implemented back to the regular forums soon. So stfu and sit tight.

If repost bitches could keep their mouths shut, these redundant threads would sink, but it'd be asking too much of them. Instead, it always turns out like: "Fvck you, non-searching noob. To teach you a lesson, I'm going to cry repost, and bump this redundant thread to the top of the forum".

just a title search that could skip words would be adequite, for now at least.

and do you really expect to see full text searching anytime soon? remember the promises made to subscribers?

reposting has been off the charts since they upgaded to this sh1tty version last year.

before you'd almost never see a repost.

they need the think that paypal and invision-board use, after the reply button is clicked once, it is locked, and greyed out.

that's not what we're referring to.

the multiple post thing has been partially fixed at least... the pressing enter in the topic title hasnt, though.
