The "peak" of the US had issues that still exist today; spousal abuse, substance abuse and all sorts of other shit that was labeled as private matters no one else but good old Dad was allowed to talk about and address.

Homosexuality was in the closet, but very active. Drug use was active as well. Pedophilia was active. Affairs where very active.

The big difference between now and then; communication, connections and an open world. Today, a man could blow out his intestines by shoving a high powered air compressor hose up his ass at 10am and the entire world knows about it within 24 hours. They can even see it, because his friend recorded it with his phone.

American white people have one "fault"; lack of identity. That is why white American youth imitates African American Urban culture. Italian Americans, Irish Americans, French Americans, etc. they have their immigrant roots to go back on and base their American identities off. But, the 5th or 6th generations of these same European whites have lost all traces of their heritage. So, they have this lost and soulless shell, that leads to this imitation act.

In the 50s and 60s, American family values were announced to the entire world, that hey are correct and something to strive for (remember when Henry Ford tried to shove it down South America's throat,...). Sorry, these American values were a temporary facade that quickly went away once a few people started being vocal and open about the shit said facade was trying to cover up. Your "peak" was tissue paper trying to hide something very real and "ugly" - being human. The sexual revolution, woman's rights, minority rights,... fuck even handicap rights tore that tissue paper to shreds.

Sportage mentions the Hispanics in America. Their family values will stay strong for the most part, since they are so close to their original homeland. White Americans are too far removed from the European heritage to grasp a sense of identity.

Realize you are too far removed from the past to grasp at what your origin is. By all means, take up whatever culture you feel best fits you – but, ensure these feelings are rooted in reality. Don't "tawk like dis, yo, if you be livin in da suburbs an shit". Enjoy the African American Urban culture, but don't think for a second you can relate to it or live it out in anyway shape or form, especially if your daddy gives you $400 a week to spend on video games and music.

On a side note, I find it very amusing how modern American Whites feel they are being invaded by South American Latinos – hey, shit head, the land you claim to defend was taken from migrants that came from South America. Your white ass is from Europe. You came over here, declared yourself an independent satellite and are now fighting to defend something that hollow, false and weak; your self proclaimed American identity. This article proves there are clear cracks in that identity,… and guess what is deep underneath it; your humanity.

Doesn't matter if they were in Europe or not. They are White so they are "evil". Hell, some nations like Ireland, Sweden and Norway [which never had slavery or Colonies] are laying guilt trips on their populations so that they accept the new immigrants moving there in the millions. Reading this thread makes me think back to when I was working in the welding shops. It was good honest work that gave me a sense of satisfaction. The problem was, no young people were going into the welding field. The people that stayed in the welding shops were paid poorly by the companies. I had to work 60 - 70 hours a week to make good money.

I think the hard work and medicore wages have driven a generation away from jobs that demand physical labor.

On top of the low wages, free trade with countries like china have driven jobs overseas.

Its just a matter of time, maybe another 15 - 20 years and the USA will lose most of its skilled workforce. I remember skilled craftsmen back in the 1980s talking about the brain drain from working class jobs. The generation that built this country after WWII is passing away, and the baby boomers are getting ready to enter retirement.

Who does that leave to do the actual labor? Very few. I do not want to go back into the welding shops, but I will if I have to.

If White people really wanted to be bad they could just not allow Muslims or "brown" people to move to their countries, then there would be no "scapegoats"...But White people are so twisted that they want to give other people opportunities, often times at their own expense [Affirmative action, racial quotas at work and Schools, easy access to Scholarships etc]. You missed the point of my post. I was not bad mouthing white people. As someone pointed out in an earlier post almost everyone is hurting economically.

I don't know it really sounds like you are echoing the sentiment "if white people vote Republican they are getting what they asked for." What's happening to American workers of all races can be blamed on both parties. Big business Republicans are obviously outsourcing everything overseas but Democrats are just as bad and on top of it push things like financial aid for illegal immigrants (happening in California if you haven't heard the news). That is money that could be spent on Americans, white or otherwise.

Heh. Outsourcing and automation wouldn't be nearly as hard on the middle class if we hadn't gone the wrong way wrt taxes & income redistribution. Offshorers and automators shouldn't be paying lower taxes, but rather higher taxes in a split the difference sort of deal with American workers. Instead, the electorate has been chumped by Reaganomics.
