it's good. basically an 8500LE but with new naming scheme...

they are good cards, especially for the money... i am not sure why they are not popular among budget gamers.

The Hardware sites are always reviewing the new stuff, and since a 9100 is just a re-badged 8500LE, it just doesn?t come up for very many reviews. It takes a lot of time to compile a hardware review and so they have to pick only so many cards. A NV ti500 is faster than the 5200, but it?s not reviewed anymore.

Here are 3 (foreign) ? reviews,

1 ..
2 ..
3 ..

I just bought a Sapphire 9100 64MB today, should be in next week. For $102CAD (~ $69US), nothing even remotely comes close to the performance for the price. 4200?s are over $200 here in Canada and the only thing available below $200 are MX440?s and 9000pro?s, 5200?s(250/200).

Because it's just a 8500LE, and that's not the popular stuff anymore.

The chip they use is identical, the R200. Some may run at different speeds, have different board arrangements, be in different colors, or talk to you when you're lonely, etc, depending on the maker.

The 9100 uses a different PCB and slower memory.
There's a review @ riva3d comparing a 9100 64MB against a Ti4200 64MB.

Where i live we have the same problem with overpriced G4's.
