I am comparing these USB 2.0 cables with these.

Is the transparent cable any worse than the standard kind? The price discrepency might suggest that...or then again, transparents may not be that appealing or popular. Any ideas?

After unsuccesfully trying to place an order on their site, I decided to phone in my order. What a novel idea! I decided to ask them about the different cables and in fact, they are the same performance wise. Like MichaelD suggested, it was both an issue of pricing discrepancy and different lots of stock. I ended up buying quite a few cables from them.
 
Could just be a pricing discrepancy on their part...possibly new vs. old stock. Either cable with give identical performance. Get the cheaper one.
