I went to see it again today.

First you are a massive idiot for not fixing the broken HTML in your post. Hint: HTML doesn't work.

Second, you are a moron for making Matrix out to be any more than 2 hours of sheer fecal matter. The only facet of the Matrix that is worth discussing is how hairy the balls that it sucks are.

Third, you are either immensely deprived, insane, masochistic, or completely stupid to be going to see it AGAIN. Please do us a favor and stop talking about it. I think I'd rather hear LordJezo talk about his homoerotic fantasies before reading another "interpretive" post about the Matrix.

Put... the... pipe... down...

If taken from a religious perspective, the original Matrix film did seem to promote the idea that mankind was tied into an evil hidden machine of enslavement and that Neo, as The One, was some kind Messianic figure (i.e. Buddha or Jesus Christ). This concept, while displayed in a novel way in the original film, was hardly original, being a common theme in many prominent religions (Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, <edit: also numerous ancient pagan religions>, but NOT Islam). Rehashed plots displayed in novel new ways are always big sellers.

Revolutions OTOH was Hollywood crap. If you REALLY wanted to draw any far-fetched analogies from it, you could say that it was the opposite of the original (and thus your "theory"). Instead, you could say that it taught us that the machine is too powerful for us puny humans, and that we must accept the machine and make a truce with it in order to protect ourselves from criminals (Smith, read: terrorists).

okok, let's stretch it:

yes it's true, it's promoting radical islam. that's the incredible thing about the matrix.
the watchowskys didn't say what symbolism is in there and stuff. it's the viewers individual expirience of the movie(s).
so each interpretation is kind of valuable as long as it isn't logical wrong (not scientifical, but hypothetical) for the individual viewer. so the symbolism is "made up" by the viewer.
each and every viewer will read a symbolism that is known to his cultural background and expiriences made and the wachys don't say "no that wrong". they don't say shi7.

so basically promoting radical islam would be a different interpretation of the same movie. (which i find just wonderfull from a thinkers point of view, (even if the sarcastic tone yells in my head all the time. neo the suicide-bomber ROTFLMAO)).

so as the story told in the movies inhabit almost uncounted ways of symbolic interpretation (and basic plot->hero with thousand faces)

it's easy to find other interpretations, but most people stop after the first and say: "hey that's it for me! now STFU!"

that said : THE MATRIX PROMOTS *insert here whatever you wish*!!!!
