Looks like Cardin has this wrapped up. So much for one of PJ's many optimistic predictions about today's elections.

I'm just curious, how does Cardin have it wrapped up with only 7 percent of the precincts reporting?

The same way we predict national population, or study wildlife dynamics. It's called statistics. Sign up now at your local community college.

Is Proffy going to come back and enjoy his humble pie, or is he just going to split?

Thanks for the insult, you libs are good at that here.

I guess it's less insulting than being told you are going to Hell because you haven't been Saved...

Cardin has it.

So much ahead in Montgomery, Prince George's, Baltimore City... big counties with low reporting percentages.

I'd like to know what some of you guys are using too.

I'm looking on CNN. they call the Maryland race for cardin some time ago. I"m looking at the results as that they say are updated as of 1041pm e.t and cardin only has a 5K vote lead with 33% reported yet in Missouri where Talent leads McCaskill buy some 69K votes and 29% reporting they aren't willing to call.

Depends on county analysis. Voting patterns are NOT consistent county-to-county, e.g. cities/urban areas are generally Dem, rural areas are generally Rep.

Sometimes the small rural areas report early because they have less lines and mess whereas the cities are slower due to volume. This is the case with Cardin/Steele race.

The OP is logged in, but my guess is we won't hear from him tonight. Bluster and arrogance can only take you so far.

When did I ever say that?

I was referring to the constant barrage of insults that the conservatives on this board receive any time they display an opposing view.

There are very few TRUE conservatives on this board...at least by old school conservative standards. Association of neocons with classic conservatives is where the GOP screwed up. Maybe they can right the ship and go toward a more traditional conservative party...something that I would love to see again.

I wasn't saying you did but I was merely mentioning that conservatives aren't actually little angels in the hurling insults dept.

Are the pugs still claiming this one? It looks like Cardin is up by around 120,000 with 3% unreported.

You've got to admit, ProfJohn put himself out there...wayyyyy out there. I mean, Cardin won by 10% and ProfJohn still had hopes at 11:30 PM, hours after it was called. That's optimism for ya...

I thought it would have been way way closer than it was for this Senate race as well as the governor race. Dem's crushed them in both. Hell if I had known it wouldn't even be close I wouldn't have bothered going out to the booths. All I have to say is 6 words: Blacks came out to vote yesterday. I'm glad Maryland had a changing of the guard, even if taxes will go up.

If everyone thought that way, the races probably wouldn't be close. People died for your right to vote. Don't dishonor them by not voting if you don't think it won't be close.

Not going out to the booths doesn't mean I wouldn't be voting, lol. I usually just mail in absentee's for Libertarian candidates and don't bother with lines at the high school. This year was different, I wanted to go in person for the changing of the guard.
