You've sewn the seed in people's minds - how many more "...hate America" threads may pop up now?.... ;)

The Left, a group that has excused totalitarianism abroad and resorted to fascistic tactics in the institutions they control at home, hates America. Americans should be glad to be despised by such people.

I guess to find the real reasons why, we have to buy his book. All he talks about in this article was the abuse he suffered while trying to understand what makes the left the monsters that they are. Poor guy, such a noble cause, such adversity...

The appeal of the left is and has always been the promise of power and a sense of superiority over poor and non-white people.
I thought this was the appeal of the right?

The leftist considers "the masses" to be incapable of self-rule and economic success.
While the right considers "the masses" to be incapable of making correct moral decisions. I'll grant the right recognizes the masses are capable of economic success, that's why the do all they can to ensure prominent corperations get as much help as they can to stay on top of the little guy.

He believes that he holds a secret key to the science of living and that he is morally obliged to use government to enforce this knowledge over his "less fortunate" fellow citizen. He calls this "giving back."
And the right calls this "tax cuts."

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying he's wrong about the left, but they aren't the ones us moderate people should be most worried about at the moment.

I don't hate the American right (or some of the policies of the left for that matter!) - if anything I fear some policies given the helplessness of my goverment in comparison (God knows how the majority of weaker countries feel).

Cheers,

Andy
