Why the labels...?

I have a quick question:
when a person goes out and drinks once a week they are considered normal;
when a person goes out and smokes once a week they are considered a pot-head.

I am not either, but I was wondering why someone is considered classified as a pothead and someone else is not classified as an alcoholic?

Is it solely because marijuana is illegal? Is it because alcoholic means the person is 'addicted' so people who are referred to as 'Pot heads' are not considered to be addicted? Don't take this thread the wrong way....I truely am curious about this...

Social stigma, the same as anything else.
That having been said, moderate alcohol consumption has been proved to be beneficial to the heart. no link, do a google 😛

i never have thought as someone that goes out and smokes once a week a "pot-head", there is a difference, very noticeable...except to the "pot-head" of course.
