Why the hell was the netflix thread locked?

I just spent an hour and a half doing some research to post to that thread and another 15 minutes composing a message only to find the thread locked!

What the freaking hell? No explanation, no nothing! If this thread was in the wrong place for christ sake move it to the right place and let the discussion continue, is that to much to ask for? Dont just lock it without even explaining why.

2,297 people seem to have found that topic interesting, at the very least you owe us an explanation of why the thread was locked.

Extremely poor moderation in my opinion......

Ah, hell. I sometimes check out movies from my local library system and they ARE free, so I guess I did not get the reference there.

At any rate, the mere inferrence of downloading movies still should not be justification for locking a thread. Most forums draw the line at LINKING to places for such activities, or at specific discussion of how it is done. If this is indeed why the thread was locked, the mod should have stated so.

I agree, I was just giving a suggestion as to why it might have been locked. Hopefully one of them will stop by to explain.

Could it have been because it wasn't a deal let alone a Hot Deal? The rules are pretty clear about what constitutes material for new threads and Netflix not mailing out replacement movies within 5 minutes of receiving old ones doesn't fit.

I agree. It probably should have been in OT or Brag and Moan.

That's the answer.

Look, all I'm saying here is that since the thread was obviously a popular subject (almost 3000 views in 5 hours) they should have moved it to an apropriate forum or at the very least, comented on why it was closed.

Is that to freaking much to ask for?

Fricken noobies

So I'm not allowed to offer my opinion? Is that it?

If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.
Your attitude and language suck.
Personally I think you owe the Mods an apology because you were too stupid to post in the correct forum and then you bagged on them. Sheesh.

EDIT: LINK

The thread was locked because it didn't meet the criteria for a Hot Deals thread. there is no rule that states the mods HAVE to move misplaced threads to the right forum. As for you being owed and explanation, no one owes you sh!t. If you don't like it go post somewhere else. No one's charging you money to come here, so you are owed nothing.

For what it's worth, it wasn't me that posted the thread in the first place so lighten up ya old boat ;) Sheesh!

Anyway, Fine. Enough said on this topic, since no one seems to really give a shite. I'll leave it alone.
