Why the hell is there no light in the freezer

I always wonder why they only put the light in the fridge and not the freezer. I get up in the middle night and decide to grab some ice water. I go to the freezer and in the darkness dump the water.... DOH!!!
Now I am all wet, the floor is wet and I am too angry to clean it all up so I go to bed. I wake up this morning to find that I have washed clean the entire wipe off board setup for my son for the week... DOH!!!!
All of this could have been avoided if there was a damn light in the freezer.

We have a chest freezer with a nice bright light in it, works like a charm. Very useful indicator of whether the fuse has blown as well.

Maybe you got a crappy freezer...mine has one.

Just put a flashlight in there and dont take it out. Be sure to put it in the same place that way you wont have to feel around for it.

All of it could have been avoided if you had some common sense enough to turn the light on in the kitchen first, too.

Never work.. my son has light radar.. you turn a light on anywhere in the house and bam.. he is stadning there say "What are you doing up?"
Really sucks when you have to pee but you learn aim and listen for splashing and pray you don't have wet sock.

So some freezers have lights... darn. Well time to go freezer shopping. I thought I had a winner there.

The one I bought for our house had one, but we paid more for the refrigerator for it. Next time I will buy a normal fridge and leave a MAG light in the door tray.

My deep freezer that I open once in a blue moon has a light. My normal fridge/freezer has none. Go figure.

My freezer has a light. The fridge we had prior to this one did not have a freezer light though. Also I put in compact flourescents in there and the cold makes them dim. But they're still bright enough to see what yer doin.

dude all you have to do is open the refrigerator door on the bottom, then the freezer door. the light from the button should be enough to see into the freezer a little bit
