Why the heck do I get double-spaces when I hit return once in hotmail and yahoo email?

I have two new XP machines and for some reason every time when typing a message in hotmail and yahoo email I get double-space instead of a single-spaces for one punch of the enter key.

This doesn't happen on my Win98SE or NT machines.

I can't seem to find anyway to make changes to this....any ideas?

Hold Shift, then press Enter. I forgot the option to change this though...

yes, shift+Enter works but isn't there a setting that can be changed to get the same result?

I noticed this only happens when I respond or forward a hotmail email

Is that email in HTML format? Check to see if you can reply as text-only
