I can think of a couple of reasons why they seem expensive.

The paper is typically of high quality - thin, but with no bleed-through. Each page is unique (dated) unlike a notepad so a large number of individual sheets must be collated properly, just like a book.

I've decided to un-digitize (or re-analogize) my life. I figured that whenever I attempt to be productive and a computer is near, I don't get much done. Outside of using Matlab or ModelSim or MultiSim or maybe PSpice, I don't do many things that require more computational power than a TI89.

Heh, I guess I shouldn't mention that I just picked up my new Franklin Covey planner complete with Dilbert daily pages for about...$160? Add that to my Cross pen for $40 and I am an expensive employee!

Heheh. Its because people with corporate expense budgets don't give a damn and in the end, Office Depot makes more money off of those couple of people then to do off of hordes of poorer regular workers/students buying them at lower profits.

EH, franklin covey has a nice one for students for about $40 bucks plus shipping. Seems like I could get a PDA for that kinda price....but I would only need refills beyond this point.

I have some random planners (generic) and maybe some name brand ones that I purchased several years back (before PDAs became affordable ;) ). I'm probably gonna trash them or something, so if you want, PM me and I'll send them at the cost of shipping. <blatantadvertising>Or better yet, buy something from my FS/FT thread and I'll just throw them in.</blatantadvertising> :p
