Why the F does my intellimouse explorer keep shutting off?

This is becoming real annoying now. I have an Intellimouse Explorer (w/ the 'laser') hooked up to my USB port. Have had the mouse for a little more then a year. Suddenly it just stops working and the laser shuts off. I have to unplug it from the usb port and plug it back in and then its good for a couple of hours. WTF?

happened to me too. Just call microsoft and they will send you a new one for free. I forget the number however. Go search on their site for a RMA number.

No need to call them. You can RMA thru the support website.
