Haha, i'm just frustrated that's all. I'm on my brothers employee plan so employees and those on the plan have to wait till a month to a month and a half before they can buy the phone due to availibility. So i'm looking at mid july before I can get one. I'm just so anxious. I haven't had a new phone in ages. I still have a flip phone from nextel. Seriously I can't be sitting in the office and get a phone call and look cool having to flip my phone open to talk. lol

Then why does it matter if you can't get it anyways? They can still be found at local stores. I got mine at Best Buy a couple days ago, they had plenty.

Because before they start to allow employee's to get them they have to be in stock.

I am not sure who makes the LCD's. But now HTC changed makers of the LCD to two different ones, if you receive a 002 or 003 model you have either an Epson or Novatel LCD.

There has been many issues with these screens with not being as good as the original displays.

Just google "HTC Evo 002" or "HTC evo 003" its all over

IMO HTC is shit brand buying cheaper/inferior displays just to get there product out. That means Quality is pretty low on their list.

ooops. You might be right on that.

He is. So is Screen Savor. The new screens are not as good as the old ones, but they don't suffer from the lift and light leakage issues. While they aren't as good as the originals they are still decent displays. I am happy with mine. You are buying for the size not top notch screen qualify, if that is what you want get an iPhone 4 and the retina display.

Did you verify this information through your brother's plan site? I ordered through my wife's employee plan site with no problems at launch and then ordered a second evo for my wife after she hated the TP2 that she received.

I think he's saying that his brother is a Sprint employee, not that he gets an employee discount through a different company. The latter is the way which I believe you interpreted it.

I wouldn't say they're totally shit as far as phones go but their quality is definitely declining to me personally. The Droid Eris (Hero) wasn't really too bad but the Incredible just felt cheap as hell to me in the end. It's still a good phone it just didn't feel as sturdy as my Droid was for obvious reasons (the Droid is pretty much built like a tank).

I've always associated HTC with good quality, but I have a buddy who told me he's on his fifth Touch Pro for the year.

I think maybe HTC gotten too big too fast.
They were once just an OEM manufacturer for phone companies.
They started making better and better phones and now making a name for themselves.
I think HTC finally got noticed when they make the original HTC HD.
It was a phone only available in Europe but it was same size as iphone but 3.8" screen.
Then came out the HD2 and it was history.
Look at all the phone they have to produce for all 4 networks.
I like HTC. They make great looking phones and I think they will tighten their quality control.

You nailed it.
Hopefully Sprint will step it up for their employees soon...
