That's fine but as long as they do there own research and at least come up with a legitimate list of hardware, instead of asking us to do it for them! It's not our job to do it and we shouldn't encourage it.

I don't mind those types of threads very much. Everyone is unique and if the individual has limited PC building experience the threads can be very helpful to them (I know mine was).

The threads that bother me more are the "I've been out of the loop for 20 years, please give me a history of computing" threads. Those drive me nuts!

They are not taught at all how to employ logic or evaluate evidence well enough to be comfortable with their own judgement. This is done on purpose as if they could accurately evaluate evidence they would never vote Democrat or Republican. Let's go over the definition of "is" again... :roll:

I've got to agree with Zepper. There is a book from a former New York state Teacher of the Year. He wondered how the system got so incredibly screwed up, so he researched it. Turns out that most of our modern schooling came from Britain and they got it from India (mid-1800's). The goal was to teach the lower castes to be content with their position in life.
